First and foremost, welcome to the site! There are so many different things that could go here, but as I attempt to build a personal site for the first time I am challenged with many self reflective questions… and I don’t necessarily have great answers to many of them. My purpose for building this site is self-serving; it is not necessarily to inspire or teach things, although I have a feeling those things are possible. Quite simply, I’ve just thought of having a place to just document various things for quite some time and am finally getting around to doing just that. For now, the primary intent will be to simply have a singular place to document and share. My hope is that I can reflect back one day and just admire my journey, but for now I’m enjoying the process. The overall DESIGN of this site is certainly on the bottom of the priority list but the home page here looks pretty boring without pictures! So, I just wanted to drop a quick one from a photo session we had late last year (Oct 2023).
Over the past few years I’ve often attempted to figure out my “WHY?” and it’s certainly something that I am still exploring. However, as I uploaded the picture above and take a moment to reflect on all the things we’ve done as a family since that picture was taken… it’s pretty easy to say everything about that picture is my WHY. Most importantly are my wife and kids that make up our family. I would do anything for them and try to be the very best husband, dad, leader, and provider that I can for them. The white sandy beach and gulf are important too – not only is it one of the most beautiful places to be able to call home but it’s also the place that the overwhelming majority of the rest of our family lives as well. I think we’ll stay 🙂
